5.16.19. Life Without Color: Beginnings (1/???)

This is the first post of many for a new personal project of mine: a collection of photographs in black and white documenting my growth as a person and an artist. I want to get a bit deeper as we go along this journey, and I really hope you follow along this journey of mine. As of now, I have no plans of when the project will conclude. I may consider this a 365 project and finish in a year. I think the beauty of art is the spontaneity of things. My go-to phrase is oftentimes “let’s wing it.” Although met with mixed reactions from various types of personalities, I still cling dearly onto this belief. I hope this journey will express my personality as well as give you a glimpse of life through my eyes.

For my first post, I want to share this photograph:

Brothers playing Pokémon cards. Rowland Heights, CA. (1/???)

This is nostalgic for me. I am brought back to the days of playing collectible trading card games with my own younger brother. Something about how young they are reminds me of how time has really passed us by, but I can see a glimpse of us in them. I find it kind of interesting that we see ourselves in other people. Makes me wonder who we are as a human race. Are we all connected? Are we all one? As some folks say, “we are all one with the universe.” Something to think about I guess.
